    FairMoney

I write Go for backend systems at FairMoney, a fintech company operating in Nigeria.

    • Backend engineering in Go in a high-throughput, event-driven fintech environment.
    • Production distributed systems built on Temporal durable workflows and the Saga pattern for distributed transactions.
    • Internal engineering systems, platform reliability, performance and customer experience.

    Other work

    • Fixed loan referral deep-link access issues.
    • Resolved loan expiry timestamp inconsistencies.
    • Built low-risk loan product eligibility.
    • Worked on income statement flows and provider edge cases.
    • Investigated homepage latency.
    • Used Grafana and PromQL for observability and performance analysis.
    • Built internal financial calculation tools in JavaScript using numerical methods, including Newton–Raphson.

    Naerospace

I wrote software for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at Naerospace, the drones department of Nord Motion.

    • Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) to WebRTC video streaming in Go.
    • Communication features using Go, PostgreSQL and Redis Pub/Sub.
    • Web security improvements.

Naerospace was Nord Motion's drones department. It was meant to become a company of its own before the project stopped.

Case studies

Selected engineering

  1. Completed

    Loan details API performance

I traced a slow loan details endpoint to an N+1 query problem and fixed it, so the endpoint responds far faster.

    Organisation
    FairMoney
  2. Completed

    Stale data cleanup

I cleaned up stale database records at large scale, freeing storage and helping reduce database infrastructure costs.

    Organisation
    FairMoney
  3. Completed

    Bank statement processing

I built bank statement upload in Go on AWS, orchestrated with Temporal workflows.

    Organisation
    FairMoney
    Stack
    • Go
    • AWS
    • Temporal
  4. Completed

    Real-time video streaming for UAVs

I built video streaming in Go for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), converting RTSP streams to WebRTC to cut latency.

    Organisation
    Naerospace
    Stack
    • Go
  5. Completed

    Credit intelligence in loan decisioning

I brought credit-registry smart-score data into loan offer generation, with the aim of reducing first-payment defaults.

    Organisation
    FairMoney

More work

  • Scoring latency

I worked on reducing latency spikes in loan scoring by introducing new queues, and documented how the scoring flows behave.

  • Loan offer generation

I worked on Management Fee V2 deductions in the loan disbursement flow and on the logic that generates loan offers.

Employer work is described at a high level. I don't publish internal code, architecture, customer data or business figures that haven't been approved.
